-9x%3E-4x%2B20-18 Subtract 18 from both sides.


-9x%2B4x%3E20-18 Add 4x to both sides.


-5x%3E20-18 Combine like terms on the left side.


-5x%3E2 Combine like terms on the right side.


x%3C%282%29%2F%28-5%29 Divide both sides by -5 to isolate x. note: Remember, the inequality sign flips when we divide both sides by a negative number.
