The following table shows the monthly wages of 27 employees in a certain factory in 1991.

No. of employees 4 9 8 3 2 1
Find the median monthly wages.

Find the median monthly wages.

It's a bit ambiguous but I think they want the
median amount that would be paid to all the
workers based on number of employees AND the
wage per employee.
So multiply 4*670, 9*760, 8*850,3*960, 2*1000, 1*1200
to get 2680, 6840, 6800, 2880, 2000,1200
Find the middle number: (2680+2880)/2 = 2780
