To state it in plain mathematical terms, if I have a triangle where the top angle is 50 degrees, how far will the two sides be so that the bottom of the triangle is 70 inches long?

Using the law of sines where A=50 degrees, a = 70 inches, find b or c
sin%28A%29%2Fa = sin%28B%29%2Fb
sin%2850%29%2F70 = sin%2865%29%2Fb
.766%2F70 = .9063%2Fb
Cross multiply
.766b = 70 * .9063
.766b = 63.44
b = 63.44%2F.766
b = 82.8 ~ 83 inches, the length of the two sides, the ends will be 70 inches apart
