When a certain interger is divided by 15, the remainder is 7.

Let's use the smallest value possible. y = 1
+x%2F15+=+1+%2B+7+
+x%2F15+=+8+
multiply by 15
+x+=+120+
Find the sum of the remainders if we divide the same integer by 3 and then by 5.
+x%2F3+=+a+
+120%2F3+=+a+
+40+=+a+
NO remainder here, try the next one
+x%2F5+=+b+
+120%2F5+=+b+
+20+=+b+
No remainder here either

so the sum of the remainders of the a and b equations is 0
