You can put this solution on YOUR website! (A) Before we work on our equations, we have to know that we need to have both of these two equations in the standard form: Y=mx+b
(B) Y= -2x+11 (no worries about this equation, it is already in the standard form)
(C) Y+2x=3 --> We move the (2x) to the right side of the equation, thus changing it sign from positive to negative --> Y= -2x+3
(D) DONE! both equations in the standard form:
Y=-2x+11
Y=-2x+3
(E) They are parallel, because they have the same slope: -2x
