(A) Before we work on our equations, we have to know that we need to have both of these two equations in the standard form: Y=mx+b
(B) Y= -2x+11 (no worries about this equation, it is already in the standard form)
(C) Y+2x=3 --> We move the (2x) to the right side of the equation, thus changing it sign from positive to negative --> Y= -2x+3
(D) DONE! both equations in the standard form:
Y=-2x+11
Y=-2x+3
(E) They are parallel, because they have the same slope: -2x
