You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A teacher gives a 20-point test to 10 students. The scores are shown here. Find the value corresponding to the 60th percentile.
13, 15, 2, 6, 11, 19, 5, 18, 3, 9
--------------
1st: Write the numbers in order from smallest to largest:
2,3,5,6,9,11,13,15,18,19
------
2nd: Find the "Locator"---the number that has 60% of the data below it.
60% of 10 is 6. So the locator value is 7.
----
3rd: Find the data element at the locator position:
Ans: the 60%ile value is 13
