You can put this solution on YOUR website! When a line have x-intercept -3 and y-intercept 5, the line passes through the points (-3,0) and (0,5). So, the slope of the line,m= (5-0)/((0-(-3))=5/3,
 using the formula m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1).
 When the other line is parallel to the above line, slope is the same.
 So,m=5/3
 The equation of the second line is y=(5/3)x+b
 When it passes through the point (6,1),
 1=(5/3)*6+b
 1=10+b
 b=-9
 The required equation of the line is
 y=(5/3)x-9
