For a triangle with the sides 18,20,and 27, will the triangle be acute, right,or obtuse?
----------
Compare a%5E2+%2B+b%5E2 and c%5E2 (c is the longest side)
If they're equal, it's a right triangle.
If c^2 is less, it's acute.
If c^2 is greater, it's obtuse.

first, we need to know
1. if a^2+b^2=c^2, then the triangle is a right triangle because of pythagorean thereorm. (i didn't spell that correctly)
2. if a^2+b^2>c^2, then the triangle is acute
3. if a^2+b^2 a=18,b=20,and c=27
c^2=729
a^2+b^2=724
a^2+b^2
