-2(x)-2(-4)-4=6
-2x+8-4=6
-2x+4=6
-2x+4-4=6-4
-2x+0=2
-2x=2
-2x/-2=2/-2
x=-1

Check by sugstituting -1 in for x and seeing if both sides =.
-2(-1-4)-4=6
-2(-5)-4=6
10-4=6
6=6 We're right!!!
