You can put this solution on YOUR website! 3x-4y<12
You have to look at the EQUALITY 3x-4y=12
If you let x=0, y will =-3 giving you the point (0,-3)
If you let y=0, x will = 4 giving you the point (4,0)
Plot those two points on your coordinate system.
Draw a DOTTED LINE through those two points.
Use a DOTTED LINE because that line is not part of your graph;
it is the border of your graph.
Since you are graphing the INEQUALITY 3x+4y<12 you should shade
the half-plane below the Dotted Line.
That half-plane is the graph you want.
