: this problem isn't in the book.
(6y+4)(5)=30
30y+20=30
-30 -30
-10=30
-10/-10
-10/-33=.33333
what am I doing wrong why is it that I can do some of these right but others like this one I have no clue how to do it? This question is from textbook
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The first step was fine:
(6y+4)(5)=30
30y+20=30
30y+20-20=30-20
30y=10
30y/30=10/30 The fraction on the right is redusable by 10.
y=1/3
As a decimal y=.3333...
Check:
(6(1/3)+4)(5)=30
(2+4)(5)=30
(6)(5)=30
30=30 We're right!!!!
Happy Calculating!!!
