You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's get rid of the fractions by multiplying both sides of the equation by the LCD (lowest common denominator). In this case 24 is the smallest number that 8,4, and 3 can all divide into evenly.
x%2B5%2F8%2B%283x%2F4%29=2%2F3%2B5x
24%28x%2B5%2F8%2B%283x%2F4%29%29=24%282%2F3%2B5x%29
24%28x%29%2B24%285%2F8%29%2B24%283x%2F4%29=24%282%2F3%29%2B24%285x%29
24x%2B%2824%2F8%29%285%29%2B%2824%2F4%29%283x%29=%2824%2F3%29%282%29%2B120x
24x%2B3%285%29%2B6%283x%29=8%282%29%2B120x
24x%2B15%2B18x=16%2B120x
%2824%2B18%29x%2B15=16%2B120x
42x%2B15=16%2B120x
-42x%2B42x%2B15=16%2B120x-42x
15=16%2B78x
-16%2B15=-16%2B16%2B78x
-1=78x
-1%2F78=78x%2F78
x=-1%2F78
I checked this on my calculator, I think I would only add confusion if I proved this to be true.
Happy Calculating!!!
