Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -5
Multiply (2) by 1
-5 x -5 y = -72.5
3 x + 5 y = 56.9
Add the two equations
-2 x = -15.60
/ -2
x = 7.80
plug value of x in (1)
1 x + 1 y = 14.5
7.8 + 1 y = 14.5
1 y = 14.5
