You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's first find the probability that a randomly selected participant is an adult:
there are a total of 174 adults out of a total of 342 people.
This means that the probability that a randomly selected participant is an adult is 174%2F342
Similarily the probability that a person had no correct answers is the total number of students who answered 0 correct divided by the total number of people which is 61%2F342
Since we are looking for the proabbility that a randomly selected particiapnt is an adult OR had no correct answers, we can use the sum rule to get:
174%2F342%2B61%2F342=235%2F342
.Hopefully this helps a bit let em know if you are unsure about anything:)
