2%5E%28-2%29=2%5E%283%286x%2B5%29%29 Since the bases are the same we can set the exponents = to each other.
-2=3%286x%2B5%29
-2=18x%2B15
-2-15=18x%2B15-15
-17=18x
-17%2F18=18x%2F18
