3x - 2y = 18
subtract 3x from both sides
-2y = -3x + 18
Y has to be positive, multiply both sides by -1
2y = 3x - 18
y has to have a coefficient of 1, Divide both sides by 2
y = 3%2F2x - 9; the slope intercept form

"Put in slope-intercept form" sounds complicated and difficult.
All you do it solve for y, in terms of x.
Not a big deal.
