From the equation (2), y=2x-7; Replacing the value of this y in Eqn.(1), we get

By simplifying (3), 4x+6x-21 = 9
= 10x = 21+9
= 10x = 30
x = 3; (Dividing both the sides by 10)
Replacing the value of x by 3 in eqn.1, we get

12-9 = -3y

So x=3; y=(-1) Answer.
