Well... we know that there are 12 inches in a foot (or hopefully we do... as otherwise this question is very hard)
We will first find out how many full feet are in 117 inches.
117%2F12=9.75
So we have 9 full feet (and then some).
9%2A12=108
So the 9 feet account for 108 inches. This means we have 117-108=9 extra inches.
So it is 9 feet 9 inches tall.
