Treat this exactly like you would an equation when solving!

Whatever you do to one side of the inequality, you have to do to the other.

3k%2B5%3E11 given

3k%3E6subtract 5 from both sides

k%3E2 divide both sides by 3

The solution is k%3E2

So any number greater than 2 is a solution. ie 2.1, 2.7, 4, 100, 7529, etc.

If at any point we had multiplied or divided both sides by a negative number,

then we would have needed to change the direction of the inequality sign.
