Since it is a right triangle that means that one of its angles is 90 degrees. The sum of the measures of the angles of any triangle is 180 degrees. So 180 - 90 = 90 . This means that the measures of the remaining two angles is 90 degrees. Since the triangle is isosceles the measures of the base angles are equal. So 90/2 = 45 degrees. So each base angle is 45 degrees.
