You can put this solution on YOUR website! first multiply the number outside the bracket and bring it in.
12(2-x) =6 becomes,
24 - 12x =6
24 -6 = 12x
18 = 12x
therefore x = 18/12
on simplifying gives, x =3/2 which is equal to 1.5
