Explanation for number line:
For x>5, it can easily be seen that the function>0
Moving to the left thru the zeros, sign of the intervals will switch each time we go thru a zero of odd multiplicity like 1, 3, 5, etc. Zeros of given problem are all of multiplicity 1. Most teachers use a chart to show this, but I have found this to be a faster and simpler way.
