Question 541829: I have three bank accounts. They contain $7,987, $6550, and $6283.
I want to take a total of $4,791 out of the three accounts so that it leaves the same balance in each account. How do I figure that out? Thank you for your help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
7987 - 6550 = 1437
7987 - 6283 = 1704
total difference from the account with the largest amount is equal to 3141.
subtract 3141 from 4791 to get 1650.
the balance needs to be divided equally among all 3 accounts.
divide that by 3 to get 550.
you need to add 550 to 7987
you need to add 550 + 1437 to 6550
you need to add 550 + 1704 to 6283
total added is 550 + 550 + 550 + 1437 + 1704 = 4791
each account will have a total of 8537 in it.
7987 + 550 = 8537
6550 + 550 + 1437 = 8537
6283 + 550 + 1704 = 8537
