Question 541321: You are trying your luck to win the lottery. There are 50 numbers on the lottery ticket to choose from. In order to win you must pick the correct six numbers.

Find the probability of selecting exactly one of the 6 correct winning numbers, where the order in which these numbers are selected does not matter from the set of positive numbers not exceeding 50 (that is the positive integers from 1,2,3,4,5,6...50)

So far I know that the denominator is 50C6 but I cannot figure out the numerator. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The answer to your question can be found buried in the sentence "Find the probability of selecting exactly ONE of the 6 correct winning numbers..."

So the numerator is simply 1.
