Question 539281: Find the x-intercepts and the vertex of the graph of
the function. Then sketch the graph of the function.
y = (x - 4)(x + 2)
y = (x - 2)(x - 6)
any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the x-intercepts and the vertex of the graph of
the function. Then sketch the graph of the function.
----------------
y = (x - 4)(x + 2)
@ the y-int x = 0
y = (-4)*2 = -8
-----
@ the x-ints, y = 0
Either x-4 = 0 --> x = 4, or
x+2 = 0 --> x = -2
----------------------
y = (x - 2)(x - 6)
Do it like the one above.
