| Question 538779: In class we are doing an EdHelper worksheet on probability and i tried very hard even with my mom and she doesn't even get it so here it is:
A number from 20 to 28 is drawn at random. P(a number divisible by 2) Express the probability as a decimal. Round to the nearest hundredths.
That was the exact question. I didn't get what it was asking me. Can you talk me through it instead of just giving me the answer?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! A number from 20 to 28 is drawn at random. P(a number divisible by 2) Express the probability as a decimal. Round to the nearest hundredths. ----
If 20 and 28 are included the even numbers
 are 20,22,24,26,28.
So, there are 5 ways to succeed.
 The total numbers are 20,21,22,...,27,28
So, there are 9 possible choices.
 ----
 P(divisible by 2) = 5/9 = 0.56
