Solve both for y. The first equation is y=-x-3 and the second one becomes y=2x-6. Substitute some values of x into both equations to get some ordered pairs, plot those pairs for each equation, connect the points per equation and you'll get two lines. Where they intersect (ordered pair) is the solution. If the lines are parallel, there are no solutions. If the lines are the same, infinite number of solutions. From the graph shown, it appears the solution is (1,-4); to prove that, substitute x=1 into both original equations to see if you get y=-4 for both; if yes, then that's the solution! The graph of the two lines is:
