You can put this solution on YOUR website!

8-9%282x%2B4%29%3E=-2x%2B13 Start with the given inequality.

8-18x-36%3E=-2x%2B13 Distribute.

-18x-28%3E=-2x%2B13 Combine like terms on the left side.

-18x%3E=-2x%2B13%2B28 Add 28 to both sides.

-18x%2B2x%3E=13%2B28 Add 2x to both sides.

-16x%3E=13%2B28 Combine like terms on the left side.

-16x%3E=41 Combine like terms on the right side.

x%3C=%2841%29%2F%28-16%29 Divide both sides by -16 to isolate x. note: Remember, the inequality sign flips when we divide both sides by a negative number.

x%3C=-41%2F16 Reduce.

Answer:

So the solution is x%3C=-41%2F16

So the answer in set-builder notation is
