Question 536789: Hey so i'm working on complex numbers in my algebra 2 class and I have not done my homework over all of the thanksgiving break.. hahha. So I need help on refreshing how to do it. So for example would (5-8i)+(7+6i) be 12-2i or -13-26i? Or would (3+3i)-(-8+i) be -5+4i or -27+27i?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(5-8i)+(7+6i) is 12-2i, so your first answer is correct.

(3+3i)-(-8+i) is 11+2i, keep in mind that the negative distributes.
