when they are walking in same direction the effective speed = x-y

t=11 hours
t=d/r
11= 6.6/(x-y)
11x-11y=6.6
x-y=0.66-------------------1
when they are walking towards each other speed = x+y
1=6.6/(x+y)
x+y=6.6---------------------2
