You can put this solution on YOUR website!
D=RT where r is the rate (speed) and T is the time. The speed is given in km/h while the time for Ann's reaction is given in seconds.

Convert km/h to km/s.

There are 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour = 3600 seconds in an hour. Divide km/h by 3600 s/h to get km/s. ---> km/(h*s/h) = km/s.

55/3600 = .01528 km/s.

D = .01528*.75 = .01146km. Convert to meters with 1000 m/km (multiply).

.01146*1000 = 11.46 meters before the car even begins slowing.
