You can put this solution on YOUR website!
how many cubic yards of dirt is in this area: 500 yards wide x 2 miles long x 38' deep.
----------------
Vol = 500 * 2*1760 * 38/3 = 66880000/3 cu yds
= 22,293,333 cu yds
~ 22.3 million

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 mile is 1760 yards. So that is 2 * 1760 = 3520 yards long.

There are 3 ft in a yard. So that is 38ft/3 = 12.67 yards deep
Volume = length * width * depth = 500 * 3520 * 12.67 = 22,299,200 cubic yards.
