2x%3E=3x-2-12 Subtract 12 from both sides.


2x-3x%3E=-2-12 Subtract 3x from both sides.

-x%3E=-14 Combine like terms on the right side.


x%3C=%28-14%29%2F%28-1%29 Divide both sides by -1 to isolate x. note: Remember, the inequality sign flips when we divide both sides by a negative number.
