x< or equal to -2 OR x > or equal to 1
(-inf,-2] OR [1,inf) is the equivalent interval notation.
To graph the solution:
Draw a line.
Label a point as -2 and a point to the right as 1.
Put a filled-in circle at -2 and at 1.
Draw an arrow from -2 to the left.
Draw an arrow from 1 to the right.
This is the graph you want.
