Expand the right side to get -[3x-(2x+5)]=-4[6x-12]-3x, which further expands to -[3x-(2x+5)]=-24x+48-3x, and now combine like terms to get -[3x-(2x+5)]=48-27x. Now expand the left side and get -[3x-2x-5]=48-27x and combine like terms to get -[x-5]=48-27x. Continue to expand the left side: -x%2B5=48-27x. Now add 27x to both sides and get 26x%2B5=48 and subtract 5 from both sides: 26x=43. Dividing both sides by 26 gives us x=43%2F26.
