FIRSTLY THEY ARE LINEAR EQNS. WITH 2 VARIABLES.
3*EQN.2 GIVES
3Y=9X-24
9X-3Y = 24 SAME AS EQN. 1 ...HENCE THEY ARE DEPENDENT EQN.
