Question 532260: always, never or sometimes. The perimeter of the triangle formed by the mid-segments is ___ one third of the original triangle's perimeter. Why? Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Never. The segment that joints the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to and one-half the measure of the third side of the triangle. Hence, the three mid-point joiners will sum to one-half the perimeter of the original triangle. Look up the Midpoint Theorem; it will be in your Geometry book.
