You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is the equation of the line with an x-intercept of -1 and a y-intercept of 2?
we have
x = -1, y = 0, therefore one factor (x+1)
x = 0, y = 2, In the form ax^2 + bx + c, the 3rd term (c) = 2
:
therefore the other factor: (x+2), to get the 3rd term which is 2
FOIL (x+1)(x+2) = x^2 + 3x + 2 is the equation
