6x%2B2=26 Combine like terms on the left side.


6x=26-2 Subtract 2 from both sides.


6x=24 Combine like terms on the right side.


x=%2824%29%2F%286%29 Divide both sides by 6 to isolate x.


x=4 Reduce.
