I don't think either one of them is great, per se. I mean, as far as negative integers go, they are pretty good, but it really would be stretching things to call either of them great.
Now if you ACTUALLY meant, "Which is greater" that would be a horse of an entirely different color. But that is not what you asked and I make it a general policy not to guess or make assumptions. Repost.
In the meantime, you might think about this question. Which, if you only had the two choices, would you rather owe on a debt, 5 dollars or 9 dollars?
