You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I don't know how to do this. I need to graph this and I don't know how to get the points.
9x^2 -1 =0.

Like all 2nd degree equations, the curve will be a parabola which opens upwards (lead coefficient positive)
Equations can be written as:
y=9x^2-1
To find the y-intercept, set x=0 and solve for y:
y=-1, so you have the point, (0,-1)
..
To find the x-intercepts, set y=0 and solve for x:
9x2-1=0
difference of squares
(3x+1)(3x-1)=0
x=-1/3
or
x=1/3
you now have the following 3 points with which you can graph the given function:
(0,-1) (The vertex)
(-1/3,0) (x-intercept)
(1/3,0) (x-intercept)
If you need more points just plug in convenient x-values in equation, y=9x^2-1
