Question 52778: Hello. Thank you for volunteering. I have a simple trigonometry problem. If I can find the answer WITHOUT USING A SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR (ie: cosine or sine buttons), it will help me greatly to become independant of electronic devices on my sailboat. Here it is: In a right triangle, if I know the length of the hypotenuse, and all three angles are known, what is the formula for finding the length of either of the other 2 sides? Standard labelling please... c=hyp,a=vertical side, b=horizontal side, angle A opposite side a, B opposite b, C opposite c. Thanks again. ray.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
No can do. The length of those sides is tied to the
measure of those angles. That's why trig tables were developed
and that is why scientific calculators are so popular.
