Add their rates of working to get their
rate working together
1st man does ( 1 job ) / ( 14 hrs )
2nd man does ( 1 job ) / ( h hrs )
working together they do ( 1 job ) / ( 8 hrs )

Multiply both sides by +56h+
+4h+%2B+56+=+7h+
+3h+=+56+
+h+=+18.667+
It will take the other man 18 and 2/3 hours
working alone, which is 18 hrs and 40 min
