SOLUTION: How to I know if I am doing this equation right ?
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9 = 7c + 3 - 6c + 4 + 5c + 10
My Solution and how I got it :
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9
(10c) (8c)

Question 526819: How to I know if I am doing this equation right ?
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9 = 7c + 3 - 6c + 4 + 5c + 10
My Solution and how I got it :
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9
(10c) (8c) (2c) (-4c) [(-5c)]
7c + 3 - 6c + 4 + 5c + 10
(10c) (4c) (8c)(13c) (23c)
-5c = 23c

You can put this solution on YOUR website! How to I know if I am doing this equation right ?
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9 = 7c + 3 - 6c + 4 + 5c + 10
My Solution and how I got it :
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9
(10c) (8c) (2c) (-4c) [(-5c)]
7c + 3 - 6c + 4 + 5c + 10
(10c) (4c) (8c)(13c) (23c)
-5c = 23c
---- -----
8c + 2 - 2c - 6 - 6c - 9 = 7c + 3 - 6c + 4 + 5c + 10
Collect the c terms on both sides
8c - 2c - 6c = 0c left side
7c - 6c + 5c = 6c right side
-----------------------
Then add the coefficients on both sides
2 - 6 - 9 = -13 left side
3 + 4 + 10 = 17 right side
-----------
0c - 13 = 6c + 17
-13 = 6c + 17
Subtract 17
-30 = 6c
divide by 6
c = -5
