Motor cyclist II x+ 4 mph

They are moving away from each other

So add up their speed.

combined speed = x+ 1 x + 4
( 2 x + 4 )
Time = 2 hours
Distance = 116 miles
Distance = speed * time
( 2 x 4 )* 2 = 116
4 x + 8 = 116
4 x = 116 + -8
4 x = 108
/ 4
x= 27 mph Motorcyclist I
Motor cyclist II 27 + 4 = 31 mph
