You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let
Number of Pennies = x
Number of Dimes = x
Number of Qurters = 36-2x
Total Coins = 36
Total Amouint = 2.76 =2.76*100=276 pennies

x+10x+25(36-2x)=276
11x+900-50x=276
-39x=276-900
-39x=-624
-39x/-39=-624/-39
x=16

Number of Pennies = x = 16
Number of Dimes = x = 16
Number of Qurters = 36-2x = 36-2(16)=36-32=4

Check
=====
1*16+10*16+25*4=276
16+160+100=276
276=276
