Question 52377: help! fast
a box contains two coins. one coin is heads on both sides the other is heads on one side and tails on the other. one coin is selectled from the box at random and face of side is observed.if the face os heads what is the prbability tat the other side is heads.
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you select a coin and observe that one side is heads, then you still do not know which coin you have. If it is the two headed coin, then the other side is still heads. If it is the heads/tails coin, then the other side is tails. So, the probability of a head on the other side of the coin, given a head on the first side is still 1/2.
