Question 522862: I need to derive a linear polynomial function(in point slope form) with this information:
y-intercept of 10, decreasing on [-2,-4] with a slope of -.5
i have tried to do it myself, but i could not figure out the x-intercept. This is what I have so far: y-10 = -.5(x-x)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
derive a linear polynomial function(in point slope form) with this information:
y-intercept of 10, decreasing on [-2,-4] with a slope of -.5
i have tried to do it myself, but i could not figure out the x-intercept.
----
Form: y = mx + b
m is the slope = -0.5
b is the y-intercept = 10
----
Equation:
y = -0.5x + 10
=================================
x-intercept ??
Let y = 0 and solve for "x";
0 = -0.5x + 10
0.5x = 10
x = 20
