The numbers from 1 to 20 are placed in a hat. What is the probability that a random;y selected number will be greater than 8?
8 of the 20 numbers are NOT greater than 8, so the other 20-8 or 12 numbers
are greater than 8.

Desired probability = 12 out of 20 = 12%2F20 which reduces to 3%2F5.
