Use the equation to determine f(x)=0
f(x)=-3cos(pie x - pie/2)-2=0
solving for x:
-3cos(πx-π/2)-2=0
cos(πx-π/2)=-2/3
using calculator, take inverse of cos(-2/3)=2.3005 (radians)
πx-π/2=2.3005
πx=2.005+π/2=3.8713
x=3.8713/π
x=1.2323
